Elegant White and Green Wedding at The Hawthorne House in Parkville, Missouri

Kendall and Josh’s wedding was the definition of classic and elegant. Held at The Hawthorne House in Parkville, Missouri, their day was filled with soft light, heartfelt moments, and a timeless white and greenery floral palette that perfectly matched the venue’s romantic charm.

From the beginning, Kendall had a clear vision: simple, clean, and so intentional. She loved the look of lush white florals paired with natural greenery — a style that would complement the venue rather than compete with it. Her bouquet was a soft, refined all-white design, and her bridesmaids carried sleek, minimal stems that added just the right amount of polish to their look.

Throughout the ceremony and reception, we carried that same classic vibe into every install — focusing on texture, shape, and soft movement. It was a day full of grace, quiet beauty, and intentional design, and getting to bring that vision to life was such a joy.

The Floral Story

While we didn’t have massive installs or bold color moments, the florals for Kendall and Josh’s wedding made their impact through simplicity and elegance. We worked with a palette of white blooms and fresh greenery — choosing stems that offered soft texture and natural movement without feeling overly designed.

The ceremony space was dressed with floral touches that felt light and timeless, perfectly framing the outdoor altar without taking attention away from the moment. From the welcome sign to the simple table details, everything was cohesive and elevated — quiet on purpose, and so, so beautiful.

Kendall knew what she wanted, and trusted me to bring that to life in a way that felt effortless. Every design choice we made supported the bigger picture — one that was clean, classic, and totally them.

About the Couple

Kendall and Josh are one of those couples that remind you what it’s all about — young, in love, and so genuinely kind. They were around 22 when they got married, but the love between them? Solid. Steady. The real deal. They carried such a peaceful, joy-filled energy throughout the entire planning process, and it was such a privilege to be part of it.

Kendall had a vision from the start. She didn’t just scroll Pinterest — she studied it, gathered ideas, and turned those inspiration boards into a wedding day that felt completely authentic to her and Josh. Every detail had purpose, and it all came together so effortlessly (even though we both know it took serious thought behind the scenes!).

And the people around them? Just as amazing. While I was designing on site, I watched their groomsmen steaming tablecloths and setting out candles without a single complaint. Everyone was pitching in to make sure the day was smooth, beautiful, and full of love. You could tell this wasn’t just about two people getting married — it was about two communities coming together to celebrate something truly special.

“From the beginning, working with Amberlee just felt easy. We explored a few other options, but once we connected with her and saw what Floral Stories could offer, I knew we were in good hands.

I was shocked when I saw everything come together — not because I doubted the vision, but because she brought my inspiration photos to life perfectly. I’d been worried about how my decor would look without the florals in place, and the second I came downstairs, I felt completely relieved. Everything looked even better than I imagined.

Amberlee made the entire process so easy. I’m not great at explaining things over email or text, but being able to hop on FaceTime with her whenever I needed made all the difference. I always felt heard and supported — and that eased my anxiety more than I can explain.

She was flexible, open, and genuinely invested in making the day feel like us. Even the smallest things—like keeping our urns and pedestals for us or her parents coming back to help clean up—meant so much. That’s the kind of service you just don’t get from bigger shops.

I’d recommend Floral Stories over and over again. The relationship, the trust, the heart behind everything she does… it made the biggest impact on our day.”
