Warm & Sentimental Fall Wedding at The Sycamore Tree Venue in Savannah, Missouri
Jaycee and Tyler’s fall wedding day was the kind that sticks with you—in the very best way. It had sunshine and sentiment, laughter and tears, and a dance floor that stayed packed ‘til the very end. Their celebration mixed heartfelt moments with playful joy in the dreamiest rustic-meets-outdoor setting. And the florals? A light, textural take on autumn that brought the whole vision to life.
The ceremony and reception took place at The Sycamore Tree Venue in Savannah, Missouri, a countryside spot with a mix of rustic charm and open-air views. The natural setting paired beautifully with Jaycee and Tyler’s vision, especially as the October light poured in and added that extra glow. We leaned into that warmth with florals in peach, bronze, soft copper, and creamy neutrals—seasonal, textural, and full of movement. Jaycee didn’t want anything too moody or dark, so we kept things light, glowy, and romantic.
Her bouquet was full of movement—dancing bits of fall foliage, ruffled blooms, and little pops of texture that caught the light with every step. The ceremony arbor was a showstopper, overflowing with florals that framed their vows in the prettiest way. And the ring bearer and flower girl?? Cutest duo ever. Her little crown and his boutonniere were tiny details that made a big impact.
Designing for a Friend (and Tag-Teaming It with My Parents)
Jaycee and I go way, way back—we met in 5th grade through Madison (aka my right-hand woman, content queen, and her maid of honor). The three of us have been close ever since. Being part of this wedding was more than a job—it was a full-circle moment. Designing for a friend like Jaycee, someone I’ve known for most of my life, was deeply personal. It added a layer of meaning to every bloom, every detail, every second of the day.
And speaking of team efforts—my parents were absolute MVPs. From setup to teardown, they were there helping with the heavy lifting, the last-minute touches, and all the little things no one sees but that make a wedding run smoothly. I don’t usually advertise day-of coordination, but I stepped into that role for Jaycee because it felt right. With my parents by my side, it was such a sweet reminder of how much love I’m surrounded by in my life, too.
One of the most emotional parts of the day came in the form of a tiny charm. Jaycee’s mom had it made for her bouquet—a photo of her late grandma, gifted by her mom at the bridal shower. It was her way of keeping her close. Watching Jaycee walk down the aisle with that photo in her hands was one of those beautiful, quiet moments that hit me right in the heart. That’s what this work is really about: creating something that holds space for people’s stories.
A Dance Floor for the Ages
Once the vows were said, it was party time—and this group showed up ready to celebrate. The reception was packed with laughter, goofy dance moves, and that infectious energy that only comes from two people who are deeply loved by everyone in the room. Jaycee and Tyler are both so easygoing and fun, and their reception felt like the most “them” celebration possible—laid-back, joyful, and full of love.
We gave the ceremony florals a second life by repurposing the aisle markers into reception centerpieces (a favorite floral hack of mine). The whole room glowed—candles flickering, guests laughing, florals blooming on every table. It was magic.
There’s something so special about watching a couple fully live in the joy of their day—no stress, no rush, just soaking in the love. That was Jaycee and Tyler. Total dream.
“I didn’t have a single hesitation when it came to booking Floral Stories by Amberlee. I had seen her work for everything from weddings to Valentine’s Day bouquets, and she’s always blown me away. After we met, I booked her immediately—I knew she’d bring my vision to life.
On the wedding day, seeing the florals in person was everything we could’ve hoped for and more. Amberlee took my inspiration photos and ideas and turned them into something even more beautiful than I could have imagined.
I’d recommend her to anyone! I had zero stress when it came to florals. She was so organized and thorough during the planning process—from making Pinterest boards I could reference while choosing napkins and tablecloths, to walking through the floral details so there was no confusion at all. Everything was done efficiently, and she was always available to answer questions along the way. She made the entire process easy, clear, and completely stress-free.
Amberlee went above and beyond—not just in designing the most perfect florals, but in making sure we were taken care of from beginning to end. I trusted her fully and was able to relax on the wedding day knowing it was all in her hands. Whether you’re planning a huge wedding or sending a small surprise arrangement, I couldn’t recommend her more. Thank you, Amberlee!”
