Lush Spring Wedding with Modern Elegance at Emerson Fields
Ally and Curtis’s wedding was one of those events that reminds you why you fell in love with weddings in the first place. From the very first meeting to the final floral install, their celebration was filled with heart, intention, and the dreamiest spring design. Think soft blush tones, lush florals, candlelight, and a modern romantic vibe that paired perfectly with the natural beauty of Emerson Fields.
With a palette of white, pale pink, and fresh greens, every detail felt elevated but still timeless. We layered in soft textures, organic movement, and thoughtful touches—from statement ceremony installs to a champagne wall dressed in blooms. It was refined, romantic, and full of spring magic.
The Wedding That Started It All
Though this wasn’t a Floral Stories wedding, it holds such a meaningful place in my journey. Ally and Curtis were actually the first couple I ever did a wedding consultation with as the Weddings Coordinator at Tiger Garden—and their trust and excitement set the tone for every wedding that came after.
Their day took place at Emerson Fields in Macon, Missouri, a serene and sophisticated venue tucked into the countryside. It was the perfect backdrop for their celebration—equal parts modern and organic, with open-air views and peaceful lakeside charm.
Designing their wedding alongside a team of incredibly talented students was one of those experiences that reminded me how special collaborative creativity can be. We poured so much care into every single bloom, and watching it all come together for a couple like Ally and Curtis made it even sweeter.
High School Sweethearts with the Kindest Hearts
Ally and Curtis are high school sweethearts from Columbia, Missouri, and the kind of couple who make you feel instantly at ease. They were gracious, joyful, and full of love—not just for each other, but for every person around them.
Working with them was a joy from start to finish. Their vision was clear and elegant, and they trusted the process every step of the way. Whether we were chatting through flower types or dreaming up ways to enhance the reception space, they approached it all with warmth, curiosity, and so much heart.
I’ll never forget how it felt to be part of this one—from that very first meeting to seeing it all come together at Emerson Fields. Ally and Curtis reminded me just how powerful this work can be when it’s rooted in love and trust.
Floral Highlights & Favorite Moments
Ally & Curtis’s reception wasn’t just pretty—it was breathtaking. We completely transformed the space at Emerson Fields with florals from top to bottom, and it still stands out as one of the most immersive floral environments I’ve ever helped bring to life.
The long banquet tables were lined with tall centerpieces that overflowed with white and blush blooms—roses, hydrangea, lisianthus, and textural greenery—all floating above layers of candlelight and delicate greens. Dozens of glowing candles lined the tables, creating a warm, romantic ambiance that made the whole room feel like it was flickering with love.
Overhead, we created a canopy of greenery that wove through twinkle lights and wrapped around the beams, filling the space with softness and dimension from every angle.
Round tables featured lush arrangements with classic-meets-whimsical movement, while the sweetheart and head tables were framed with grounded florals and soft draping. No matter where you looked, there was something blooming—on the staircase, the champagne wall, and even the backdrop for their first dance.
It was lush, romantic, and every bit as magical as the couple themselves.
